The Mile Band

The Mile are a Leicester based 5 piece creating a Brit Pop Rock sound that has the lyrical and melodical undertones of Crowded House mixed with the musical sound of Del Amitri and the Verve.

Working hard at building a fan base that covers a wide spectrum of ages from venues around the country they are generating interest from local radio and have been approached by Wirral based Chromium Records.

The band are now starting to create a buzz around them and look set to make an impact on the music scene.

We must say that your music certainly uplifted our mood. This is the type of Brit Pop Rock that is still greatly favoured in the UK and we feel that you would fit right in
- Head of A & R Chromium Records.

Taking their influences from the likes of Crowded House, Del Amitri and INXS The Mile
have created a sound that is different to the pop/punk sound most guitar based bands are coming up with at the moment, but its a sound they find is attracting the ears of both young and old.

AMM Gives The Mile Band 4 out of 5 Stars

Here is a band that combines the familiar with some rare originality. In today's competitive music scene it is the race to create a sound that compels the young listener to keep listening. After reviewing this CD and gaining some feedback from several age groups I found this CD a …. Must listen….. Must have.
